Overview and acceptance
These terms apply when you visit Blackline, register, purchase an evaluation or otherwise use the website, platform or programs. They incorporate the applicable program rules, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and any account-specific agreement. Do not use the service if you do not accept them.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18, legally capable of contracting, provide accurate information and use the service only where permitted. Blackline may restrict countries, persons, payment methods or activities for legal, sanctions, fraud or business-risk reasons.
Simulation and no financial advice
Blackline offers educational and skill-assessment services in a simulated environment. Demo accounts do not contain customer deposits or execute orders in live markets unless a separate signed agreement expressly says otherwise. Blackline is not a broker, custodian, bank, portfolio manager or investment adviser, and its content is not personal financial advice.
Account registration and security
Each user must operate only permitted accounts in their own name. Credentials may not be transferred, shared or sold. You are responsible for device security and must promptly report unauthorised access or inaccurate account information.
Evaluation accounts and fees
Purchasing a program provides time-limited or rules-based access to technology, analytics, support and a simulated account. Fees are service charges, not deposits or investments, and do not create an ownership, employment, fiduciary or guaranteed-reward relationship. Final prices, taxes and currency appear at checkout.
Program rules
The published rules and checkout terms form part of this agreement. Objectives, loss limits, trading-day requirements, prohibited methods, inactivity rules and progression conditions may differ by program. Passing a target never cures a breach.
Fair use and account integrity
You must demonstrate genuine individual decision-making. Unless a program expressly allows it, prohibited behaviour includes latency or reverse arbitrage, price-feed exploitation, coordinated hedging, account sharing, challenge-passing services, unauthorised bots or plug-ins, copying between related accounts, manipulation of demo functionality and exploitation of technical errors.
Prohibited conduct
You may not break applicable law, provide misleading information, harass others, interfere with the platform, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, evade identity or payment checks, conceal location, misuse intellectual property or attempt to bypass service limits.
Verification and rewards
Progression and simulated performance rewards require rule compliance, identity and payment verification, fraud screening, account review and acceptance of the applicable agreement. Calculators, examples and marketing figures are illustrations rather than promises of payment or income.
Suspension and termination
Blackline may restrict or terminate access for a material breach, security threat, suspected fraud, chargeback abuse, legal requirement, non-payment, platform misuse or service discontinuation. Where appropriate, Blackline may investigate before reaching a final decision. Non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.
Third-party access, tools and integrations
Authorised contractors may access limited systems for development, maintenance or support under confidentiality and security obligations. Platforms, payment services and integrations may also have separate third-party terms. Their availability and performance are not controlled entirely by Blackline.
Service and pricing changes
Blackline may update features, program availability, pricing or future terms. Changes normally apply prospectively and will receive notice where law or an existing agreement requires it. Open accounts remain governed by the version identified in their order or agreement unless a lawful change says otherwise.
Information accuracy and availability
We aim to keep public information accurate but cannot guarantee that every page is complete or uninterrupted. The checkout record, program rules and signed agreement control if general marketing content conflicts with account-specific terms.
Privacy
Personal information is processed under the Privacy Policy. By using the service, you acknowledge that information may be handled for account administration, security, compliance and rule monitoring.
Intellectual property
Blackline branding, software, interfaces, education and site content are protected. You receive a limited, revocable, personal and non-transferable right to use the service. Scraping, resale, copying or reverse engineering is prohibited except where law does not allow that restriction.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent lawful, services are supplied on an “as available” basis without a guarantee of uptime, simulated execution, progression, rewards or trading outcome. Liability exclusions and caps must be tailored to Blackline's incorporated entity and must not remove rights that cannot legally be waived.
Indemnity
Where permitted, you agree to reimburse Blackline and its personnel for third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful use, material breach or infringement of another person's rights.
Complaints, disputes and governing law
Contact support before escalating a complaint so it can be investigated. Launch requirement: insert the registered company, complaint procedure, governing law, courts or arbitration mechanism and mandatory consumer protections after professional legal review.
Entire agreement, severability and changes
These terms and incorporated documents replace earlier statements about the same service. If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues where lawful. Revised terms will show a new date; continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
